Mauna Ala
Mauna Ala, the Royal Mausoleum is located in Nuuanu on the island of Oahu and is the final resting place for most of the kings and high chiefs of Hawaii. King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma had planned for this site to be the burial place for their 4 year old son, Prince Albert, who died in 1862. The mausoleum was completed in 1865.
Haleiwa Bridge
Haleiwa is a small town besides the North Shore of Hawaii and is far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Haleiwa has many famous landmarks. The Anahula Bridge on the Anahula River, more commonly known as the Haleiwa Bridge, is one of the most well known bridges in Hawaii.
Waikiki
Waikiki means spouting water for the springs and streams that fed the wetlands in Waikiki. To take advantage of the resources fishponds were built and taro patches were planted. In 1920 with the new age of urbanization, the landscape of Waikiki was re-developed and drained with the construction of the Ala Wai Canal.
